Thijs Clement

Thijs’s practice comprises tax and legal support of both Dutch and international companies in a variety of transactions (M&A, restructurings, joint ventures, management participations). In addition, he advises high-net-worth individuals, often in the role of trusted advisor.

He has extensive experience in the area of (international) tax law, and often advises in cross-border situations, both inbound and outbound.

Thijs was a partner at Loeff Claeys Verbeke for 3 years and a partner at Van Doorne for 17 years, of which a few years as managing partner (2010-2012). Later on Thijs also became the senior partner of this firm (2016-2018).

Having lived and worked in Paris for 4 years gave Thijs a broad international experience and excellent command of French and English.

Thijs is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the International Bar Association (IBA) and regularly speaks at international meetings and conferences.
